photographer profile #10: J. Grant Brittain
It’s a great pleasure and honor to have J. Grant Brittain on skateinfusion for a photographer profile today !

Hi Grant, who are you?
J. Grant Brittain, 53 years old, Leo, live in Encinitas with wife, two teens, cat and puppy. Just trying to live the best I can in this short time we have. I try to surf when the swell hits. I am a photographer, I shoot skateboarding for my job and artsy stuff for fun and sanity. I am part owner of The Skateboard Mag in Solana Beach, CA. I want to be buried with my Leica.
Where are you right now?
I am home with a puppy trying to keep her from peeing on the floor.
What’s your current camera set up?
For skateboarding, Canon Eos-1d Mark 2, Canon lenses, Hasselblad 301 CW, Leica M6 and Canon G9 and a shit-load of other cameras.
Pierre-André Senizergues
What’s your current skateboard set up?
A Powell street cruiser.
What inspires you?
My family, they make my life very full. Music and Art past and present. Nature, the sky, land and the ocean fulfill me and motivate me to make photos.
Tony Hawk, 1985
Who inspires you?
I feed off of my peers in my work, they get and keep me going. The Masters in photography and Art show me how great Humans can be.
What was the last music track you listened to?
Listened to David Bowie, LOVE, Harold Budd with Robin Guthrie today in car and work. Music is constant.
Andy MacDonald
What was the last cool stuff you have seen on the web ?
Good Problem, it’s a blog a bunch of people contribute to, I have Wednesday. JPG Mag, I load my photos on that. Huffington Post. theskateboardmag.com
